- Cheap but shoddy.Bought this to replace an old Canon scanner that wasn't Windows 7-64 bit compatible.
The installer froze repeatedly, the scanning software gives the bare minimum of options and settings aren't saved between scans. Contrast and colour response is poor in comparison to other scanners I've had in the past. The lid is so lightweight that it won't hold flat an acrylic painting on a sheet of thin card and the build quality in general is terrible (the scanner makes nasty vibration / grinding ... Read More

- HP Scanjet G2410The scanner arrived promptly, but I experienced great difficulty installing the accompanying software. I requested help from the HP Website, but this was insufficient. Fortunately I was able to install a downloaded version of the software with the assistance of a pc expert. I am now satisfied with the, albeit slow, performance of this item

- just received the scannerI just received the scanner today.Setting it up was easy enough,but it's been making some loud funny noises,I was wondering if that was normal,since it's my first scanner.The scans came out okay,and it works really well with photoshop.Now if it didn't sound as if it was dying,I'd be happy.I'll have to see how it goes,I hope I don't have to return it,because I find that really annoying,having to return things.
